Mayonnaise buy request Japan

For 60 years we have been selling our mayonnaise to Okinawa, Japan . The discharge port is Naha, Okinawa, Japan.

For many decades it was manufactured in California but for the last 12 years it has been manufactured in Canada.

For the last twenty years the demand in Okinawa, has been consistently approximately 210,000 x 16 ounce glass jars per year.

Each case is 12 glass jars in a cardboard box with cardboard dividers. The glass jar is wrapped with a paper label.

There is a shrink neckband seal on each cap.

However due to the lack of glass jars, we have been unable to ship an order from Canada since June 2021.

Each order is 25,200 jars and fills a 40’ refrigerated sea container. We ship approximately 8 containers per year. Recently the factory , the co-packer, told us that costs have increased 25%. This is another motivation to find an alternative, hopefully more competitive source. The product requires incorporating cooked starch into the finished product
