The Cold drawn steel rod should be manufactured by means of cold drawing the hot rolled steel having 8 ± 0.5 mm diameter. After cold drawing dia of steel will be 5.70 – 0.06 mm
Chemical Composition :
Carbon = 0.05 ~ 0.15 %
Silicon= 0.45% (Max)
Manganese = 0.25 ~ 1.50 %
Phosphorous = 0.045% (Max)
Sulfur = 0.055% (Max)
Mechanical Properties :
Hardness (HB) = 187 (Max)
Elongation : 8% (min)
Tensile Strength = 50kg/mm2 (Max)
